Wilsao is where locals in Japan meet travellers as friends who share an experience. We are not a guiding service, and this is not a part-time job.
We are not a guiding business. Wilsao is not registered as a travel agency under Japan’s Travel Agency Act — what we do is bring people together for experience sharing.
”Wilson was born and raised in Taiwan, and the first time he came to Japan one thought kept surfacing — I want to know this country more deeply. Not the sightseeing spots, but the ordinary days of the people who live here. He understands that feeling better than anyone, and that is why he started this project: a new shape of travel in which people from Taiwan get to experience the “normal” Japan.
Not a trip where someone hands you a schedule and runs your days, and not a solo trip with a map spread open on your knees. What Wilsao is after is a third kind of travel: time spent with a local friend. An afternoon with nothing planned, a chance encounter in a café only locals know, the story behind an ingredient heard while walking a market together — none of it is written in any travel book.
What feels to you like “just another day” may be a treasure to a friend from Taiwan. Filleting the fish you bought at the morning market, the sight of older neighbours playing Go in the local park, the wagashi your grandmother taught you to make — sharing this “normal” is the finest hospitality there is.
※ This is not an employment contract. It’s a thank-you for sharing an experience.
